Music Program Shout Out!
The Pikeland Music Program held its annual fundraiser (community music concert/meal) on March 25, 2022. Due to the pandemic and mitigation requirements, the program was not held in 2020 or 2021.
Beyond the outstanding student performances....some details of the evening are below.
830 pulled pork sandwiches were sold.
It is anticipated the fundraiser will net around $4,300 for the music program.
55 adult workers contributed to the success of the evening.
Beyond sharing their musical talent, 30 student workers served or helped with clean-up.
Thank you to those who organized, worked and/or attended this event. A special thank you to the music instructors and the students...your dedication was noticed and appreciated. It was a great evening!
Phs softball game scheduled for tomorrow (3/26) @ Mendon is cancelled due to wet field conditions.
Due to wet field conditions, both PHS softball and PHS jv baseball are cancelled this evening.
Tonight's PHS baseball and softball games at Southeastern are cancelled. No make up dates have been scheduled at this time.

IHSA boys basketball regionals start tomorrow. The Saukees will host the West Hancock Titans in regional quarterfinal action. Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00.
Congratulations to Mason Davis on punching his ticket to the IHSA wrestling state tournament in Champaign. He’ll be wrestling at the State Farm Center this Thursday and the tournament will run through Saturday. Best of luck!!!!!
Thursday's PHS boys basketball game at Liberty has been moved up to tomorrow night (Wed, Feb 16). JV will tip-off at 6:00 PM followed by varsity.
The Lady Saukees defeated East Alton Wood River 53-25 on Saturday to advance to tonight's regional semifinal v. Staunton. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30. Best of luck to the Lady Saukees!!!
Congratulations to Mason Davis on his fourth place finish at the Vandalia sectional this past weekend. Mason will advance to the IHSA state tournament this week (Feb 17-19) in Champaign at the University of Illinois.

We had a fire truck send-off this afternoon for the PHS Saukettes. They will compete at the IDTA state competition tomorrow in Springfield. Best of luck ladies!!!
PHS boys basketball host Jerseyville tonight. Modified freshman game starts at 5:00 PM, followed by JV at 6:00 and varsity at 7:30.
