July 26, 2022
During the July 20, 2022 board meeting, the Pikeland Board of Education approved the hire of Mrs. Brandi Pennock as DPod (Grades 6-8) principal. She will lead next school year along side Mr. Jon Frieden who oversees CPod (Grades 3-5). The transition plans solidified after Mrs. Lisa Jockish stepped over to the role of Special Education Director for the 2022-2023 school year.
Mrs. Pennock shares her thoughts as she prepares for her new role at PCS.
"I am extremely honored and excited to join the Pikeland School District. With twenty-five years in public education, I have been fortunate to teach in grades first through ninth. These varied
experiences were priceless. Additionally, I have served as a Response-to-Intervention
Coordinator. My most recent work has been as the Junior High Principal in the Western School
District. My educational journey began with my Bachelor’s Degree at William Woods University
and my Master’s Degree at the University of Illinois-Springfield. I am currently seeking my
Doctorate at Western Illinois University. It is a great privilege to have the opportunity to work
with the students, staff, parents and administration in the community in which I grew up."
Welcome to Pikeland Mrs. Pennock!
